The Nevada section of the Society for Range Management is a member-dependent professional organization that brings together multiple sectors of the rangeland management community to provide leadership for the stewardship of rangelands based on sound ecological and socioeconomic principles. Our goal is functioning and sustainable rangelands for the future.

NV Section WInter Meeting Registration open!

December 6th right after the National Grazing Lands Meeting in Reno NV. Please join us for a program that will focus on ranchers’ perspectives and agency coordination on the BLM’s Outcome-based Grazing Program. Three ranches will present about their participation in the program – benefits, changes, challenges. Their BLM Rangeland Management Specialists that are working with them on the ground will present administrative and monitoring aspects to their specific projects and answer questions. Additionally, a presentation will focus on the Martin Fire and how one ranch and the BLM are working together in the aftermath.
